A Japanese bamboo whisk, a so-called chasen, is used for the traditional preparation of Matcha tea. The bamboo broom is elaborately made from a piece of bamboo. Only specially trained craftsmen have mastered the special technique with which the bristles are cut and shaped.
For a traditional matcha, put ½ teaspoon of Raab organic matcha in a bowl and pour 80 ° C hot, preferably soft water on it. Then beat the tea with the matcha whisk for about 15 seconds (W-shaped movement).
By using the matcha broom, a homogeneous, creamy foam layer forms on the tea surface. The broom should stand in hot water for a short time before use.
