Serpentine is a secondary mineral and mostly volcanic rocks from the Middle Ages are converted into serpentine.
Serpentine can be found, among others, in & ouml Austrian East Tyrol, in Burgenland, near Erbendorf in Bavaria as well as in Z & oumlblitz in Saxony and also in the South Urals (Russia).
The name of the serpentine probably comes from & quot serpentes & quot (snake), and is related to the serpentine drawing of the mineral.
It should be noted that every stone also requires care. This can vary from stone to stone. However, as a rule of thumb, clean your stone under running water after each use, especially if different people are being massaged with the same stone!
