Tai Chi Tennis combines the feel for a ball with the motion routines of Tai Chi Chuan.
TAI CHI TENNIS
Tai Chi Tennis is a relatively new sport and wellness tool, for a smooth though dynamic training using tai chi principles.
Tai Chi Tennis is played with specially designed rackets that have a flexible latex surface and a ball that is half-filled with grains of sand.
The aim of the game is to use soft flowing movements and to control the ball skillfully and subtlety.
Unlike most of the other ball games the movements while playing Tai Chi Tennis are not limited to the arms but involve the waist and legs (the whole body, to be exact).
The main difference however is that in case of Tai Chi Tennis the player does not bat the ball with full force but rather tries to keep it on the racket as long as possible.
Tai Chi Tennis is easy on the joints and improves body awareness thanks to the flowing movements.
