Calluna vulgaris / Scottish heather
PLANT DESCRIPTION
Thrives in damp or boggy soil, but also on sandy or dry heath. Mostly, heather is found in mountains and moors. It is not to be confused with the red-flowering heather. The small pink to purple and sometimes even white flowers bloom from July to September.
