This new cosmetic was specially created for the care of sensitive skin and incorporates a variety of active agents. This novel base cream, DMS (Derma Membrane Structure) is, in its makeup and structure, caring and responsive toward natural skin. It works to heal and calm through moisturizing agents and the power of the gemstone malachite. The valuable agents of the malachite gemstone cosmetic can be easily absorbed. At the same time, the skin's barrier function is strengthened and lipids and moisture are retained. Skin-related fats like Ceramide and Phytosterol repair damage to the skin and prevent dehydration. With moisture, this unique repair-mechanism reconstructs, cares for, and regenerates the skin. Results of this product have shown clear advantages for younger looking skin over conventional emulsion-systems. Olive oil and almond oil soften and smooth the skin and give it a newer, firmer tone. Stressed or damaged skin gets regenerated and brought back into balance.
ABOUT MALACHITE
In nature, malachite exists as emerald green to dark green grape-shaped aggregates, or as green earthy masses. Often it is found together with the mineral azurite. The chemical formula for malachite is CuCO3. Cu(OH)2 and can be defined as a basic copper carbonate. The copper atoms are responsible for its green coloring.
With an excavation in Beidha, near the Dead Sea, archaeologists were able to verify the earliest uses of malachite as a green pigment. In a 9000 year old settlement, walls painted with malachite and the remains of a workshop containing the raw materials malachite and ocher. Malachite was in ancient times an important green pigment. The Egyptian women decorated their eyelids with green powder from crushed malachite. In addition, malachite was ground and mixed with a binding agent, either egg white, acacia tree gum, or fig milk. The color green was considered by the ancient Egyptians to be the color of life and growth. They mined this semi-precious stone from Mt. Sinai and gained from this the metal copper. In powdered form, malachite was also used by the Romans for murals.
In the Arabian world, people took powdered malachite as an antidote and as a cure for ulcers. This effect is, like its use as a talisman, that is supposed to protect children from accidents, a legend still to this day. Some people, however, still accredit it with healing powers. It is said that it draws out sick-making energies out of the body.
Aside from its use as a pigment, it remains to this day a beloved jewelry stone.
Malachite, considered a precious green pigment, was used again and again by artists for painting. In the March picture of the "Stundenbucher" ("Les Très Riches Heures") the May-green coats of the women in the riding group owe their color to malachite. The 12 famous "Month pictures" are portrayed at the start of 131 book pages that were colorized with glue-bound distemper.
Mythology and History: Malachite is among the most secret and saga-entwined minerals. Regardless of the local culture, malachite was always sanctified as a woman or a goddess. In Egypt it was Harthor, in antiquity Aphrodite or Venus, and in Europe, Freya, the goddess of fertility. It is no wonder then, that malachite represents beauty, sensuality, seduction, and curiosity. The name derives itself from the Latin word molochitis and probably from the Greek work, maláche "malva".
In the Middle Ages then, malachite was used for more practical purposes. For a long time it was used in soldering.
Formation: The formation of malachite is secondary. It is created for the most part through the oxidation of other copper minerals. It originates when surface water containing carbon dioxide binds with copper to form a basic copper carbon.
Where it can be found: Malachite is found mostly in Australia, Chile, Russia, the Congo in Africa and in Arizona in the USA.
Healing effects for one's health: Malachite aides with menstruation problems, and eases the strain of childbirth. Due to this characteristic, it is also known as "Hebammenstein" or "mid-wife stone".
Malachite promotes ulterior activity of the mind during the day, whether it is dreams, impressions, thoughts, or experiences. However, it does not differentiate between the good and the bad.
